Abstract/Summary |
5-Amino-2-formylbenzenesulfonic acid has been prepared in one-step reaction by oxidation of 4,4’-diaminostilbene-2,2’-disulfonic acid using ferric salts. Large differences in 1H spin-lattice NMR relaxation times are discussed and utilized for assessment of the ratio of the two possible conformers of the product.
