Abstract/Summary The epoxidation of allyl alcohol by 30 mass % hydrogen peroxide over titanium silicalite catalysts in the environment of protic and aprotic solvents has been investigated. The influence of the titanium silicalite catalysts TS-1, TS-2, and Ti-Beta and a protic solvent (methanol) and aprotic solvents (acetonitrile and methyl ethyl ketone) on the allyl alcohol epoxidation was studied. The catalyst solvent system, namely TS-2–methanol, allowing to achieve glycidol with the highest selectivity has been determined.
