Abstract/Summary The p-V-T behaviour of the octane—1-chlorobutane system was investigated at temperatures 298.15 K, 308.15 K, 318.15 K, and 328.15 K and in the pressure range of 0.1—40 MPa with an accuracy in density of ±1x10−4 g cm−3. An apparatus for p-V-T measurements of liquids and liquid mixtures the main part of which is a high-pressure vibrating-tube densimeter working in a static mode was used. Excess molar volume were calculated from the data and tted using the Redlich—Kister equation.
